PAIMS (PAIU Instructional Media Services)

Intermediate Units were formed by the state legislature to promote and support collaboration within the education system.  Providing technological products and services continues to be a huge need for school districts and IUs fulfill a wide-range of service needs for students and school districts.  

As a networking and development resource, PAIU supports the PAIU-IMS (PAIMS) job-alike group which is comprised of highly-skilled professionals with expertise in a wide variety of areas, including: Instructional Technology, Information Technology, Professional Development, Online Learning, Data Systems and Digital Media.

Vision Statement:

The vision of PAIMS is the equitable delivery of communication, information, and related technologies that can be used to support multiple modes of learning, teaching, and assessment (Association for Learning Technology)

Goals:

    • (External) Provide leadership in all technologies for the educational entities, educators, and students in Pennsylvania.
    • Develop and maintain partnerships
    • Identify and promote emerging and best practices
    • Provide opportunities for students to participate in PAIMS sponsored events
    • Participate in the planning and experience of PETE&C

To accomplish goals, PAIMS members work on sub-committees addressing:

  • Open Education Resources (OER)
  • Vendor Partnerships
  • Technology systems
  • eSports
  • Online Learning
